Transactions
Recent transaction experience – IFG Group

- In September 2014, IFG Financial Services was sold to Ascot Lloyd for up to £8 million of which £2.5 million was payable upfront. The net assets were not acquired and the deferred consideration was subject to future revenue targets
- IFG Financial Services is an independent financial adviser providing mainly investment and pension advice and with a high level of recurring revenue. The business had been built up by multiple acquisitions in the 1990’s and included the brands and regulated entities DK Wild & Co. and John Siddall Financial Services
- The sale also included Berkeley Jacobs Financial Services, a separate business which was closed to new business in 2004
- IFG Group sold the business in order to concentrate on its core UK businesses of Saunderson House and James Hay Partnership
“Asgard has a very good knowledge of the IFA market. They conducted an efficient sale process, obtaining offers from a number of interested parties. This resulted in a successful deal for IFG Group and the transfer of the business to a suitable purchaser. We would be happy to work with Asgard again.”
Mark Bourke, Chief Executive Officer, IFG Group
