• In November 2017, Broadstone Group acquired Manchester’s leading independent actuarial consulting company, Mitchell Consulting Limited, and the connected independent trustee business, 2020 Trustees Limited
• The acquisition was supported by Livingbridge, the private equity firm which acquired Broadstone in 2016
• The acquisition further increases Broadstone’s geographical reach and scale in the North of England and Mitchell Consulting strengthens its position as a full-service provider of employee benefits and pensions in its target market
• Additionally, 2020 Trustees, which is known for its expertise in working with distressed schemes and their sponsoring employers and is one of the five firms on the Pensions Protection Funds Trustee panel, widens the Group’s service capability and will remain independently managed
• Our role included sourcing the transaction and advising on the terms of the acquisition
